Victorian 1880s Grapevine Gold Brooch with Amethyst and seed Pearls. A round Amethyst, as if the grape itself, sets the theme for this entirely handcrafted jewel, framed by a garland of curling grape leaves concealing tiny grape clusters within a border of seed Pearls, an abundance of tiny seed Pearls, as in the abundance of a harvest, to the mounting enriched with hand applied Gold cording, and then there are those tiny fleur-de-lis-shaped prongs that hold the amethyst in place.
