An antique necklace formed from eight large and eight small dress buttons, each formed from a blue enamel disc with a pearl centre and with graduated rows of pearls as the borders; gold backs. Made from George III’s dress coat buttons, given to the Duchess of Clarence in 1818, bequeathed to Grand Duchess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz in 1849 and to Queen Mary in 1916. #Georgian #antique
