What is the difference in laser engraving and other engraving. Does it look the same? More or less expensive?

Laser engraving is usually less expensive but it does not look the same as Rotary engraving. Laser engraving is done with a beam of light, rotary engraving is done with a metal diamond tip tool. This creates two different looks. Laser engraving is cleaner and does not have the lines in the work that a rotary engraver creates. Rotary engraving can create a nice looking v groove in the lettering and artwork that is engraved on metal. Laser engraving cannot do that. It really depends on what you need to have done and what look you are after as to which way is the better way to go.
