The Southern Nevada Gem and Mineral Society is a 501 C (3) non-profit organization, formed to promote interest and education in various earth sciences, mineralogy, geology and to exchange knowledge in the lapidary arts.

Club members have access to classes, field trips, rock & gem shows, rock swaps, equipment, and more. After orientation, members over 18 are welcome to use the slab saws, trim saws, cab machines and take classes.

Club sponsored field trips provide an opportunity to meet people and learn how collect specific specimens. Rock hounding with the club is a great way to learn about citizen-geology and gain insight from experienced members.

The club also offers a host of classes, a kid’s club and opportunities to volunteer.
