are you a Graduate Gemologist, that can ‘grade’ a diamond ring?

Actually, I’m a trained diamond cutter that can plan and polish a diamond and then grade it.
GG is not the only Gemologist credential as there are many other fine gemological schools. I hold the Professional Gemologist credential from the International Gem Society of which I am also a Life Member. Additionally, I hold a Graduate Diamonds Diploma from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). As mentioned above, I spent a year in residency at the Diamond Education College in Johannesburg, South Africa studying rough diamond evaluation, planning and marking rough diamonds, and actually polishing diamonds. I hold an additional Applied Science Degree in Metrology (Science of Measurement) [Honor Graduate of the USAF School of Applied Aerospace Sciences in 1976].
