Circa 1880 butterfly brooch. The emerald body, ruby thorax, and diamond-set head with ruby eyes, to the yellow, red, and black basse-taille enamel wings with old-cut diamond detail, mounted in silver and gold, 5.7 cm. wide, with French assay marks for gold, in blue velvet fitted case.
